Porous Metal Vacuum Molds Make Food Processing Easier
FARMINGTON,
Conn., March 14, 2001 Food processors have used Mott
porous metal media to create a variety of dimensional vacuum
molds that produce specific shapes in preparing food products
from slurries and batters such as cookie and candy products,
fish and poultry including frozen dinner chicken breasts.
Once formed in the porous metal mold, the food product can
be more easily transported through other process steps than
with traditional media.
Mott
porous metal media have additional benefits for food processing:
uniform, high-precision porosity, corrosion resistance to
cleaning agents, efficient cleanability, and strong tolerance
of high temperatures and pressures.
Mott
Corp. manufactures a variety of filtration and related devices
from porous metal. It serves industrial and high purity customers
worldwide through such industries as chemical, instrumentation,
fiber, semiconductor, energy, food and beverage, and environmental.
