Feasibility testing and small-scale, batch-type processes are the frequent first steps to larger pilot and process systems, or more importantly, quickly and efficiently validate or eliminate a potential filtration solution. Liquid-solid and gas-solid separations are often critical operations and require precise calculations. Mott’s 70mm disc filter offers the ability to collect complete performance data including flow versus delta p, cake characteristics, backwash ability, cake-washing efficiencies, solids capture rating and estimated cycle times. The compact design is easily assembled and the stainless steel construction can accommodate a wide range of environments, including temperatures to 250°F (121°C), pressures to 150 psig, as well as vacuums to –14.7 psig).
