Mott Corporation and Bekaert Advanced Filtration Create Strategic Alliance

FARMINGTON, Conn., June 11, 2002 - Mott Corporation (Farmington, CT USA) and Bekaert Advanced Filtration, a division of Bekaert Advanced Materials (Zwevegem, Belgium) jointly announce the establishment of a comprehensive Strategic Alliance, including sales, distribution, and new product development.

Roger Klene, President and CEO of Mott Corporation, stated that "the aim of the Alliance is to offer customers in Asia, Europe, and North America, a more complete choice of supply for metal-based filtration." George Brys, Corporate Vice President, Bekaert Advanced Materials, said the complementary technology of the two companies will benefit the end customers in a number of important ways. "Together, Mott and Bekaert will provide the most comprehensive array of filtration and flow devices available for volatile environments where conditions favor metal media."
