MOTT CORPORATION ANNOUNCES CHINA SALES OFFICE

FARMINGTON, CT (September 2006) – Mott Corporation announces the establishment of its first overseas sales office in Beijing, China.  The sales office will focus on China’s fast growing refining, petrochemical and specialty chemical market and eventually integrate engineering and technical functions to support Mott’s growing process filtration business in China.

"Mott has been working with an increasing number of customers in China over the last 10 years and we enjoy the long term relationships that have already been developed," said Roger Klene, President and CEO.  "The establishment of our China office is an important component of our plans to further develop our business in Asia.  Having a full time presence in the region will improve our ability to provide technical support to our customers and will increase our level of involvement and communications with those customers."
